Dog Hydrotherapy Water's great for helping dogs recover from injury

Swimming is a brilliant way to help dogs recover from injury or illness and can have major benefits for healthy pets too ! Hydrotherapy is an enjoyable way for your dog to receive expert physiotherapy. Water’s great for helping dogs recover from injury as it takes all the weight off their bones and lets them build up their muscle mass again.

Many dogs love splashing about in water , but it can be a real problem to find somewhere safe and clean to take them . Even if your dog does not need physiotherapy he can always benefit from the exercise in the pool and have lots of fun at the same time .

You can arrange for your dog to use the pool by appointment or during his stay at the kennels.

The Pool

The pool is especially designed for animal rehabilitation and is imported from the U.K. It measures 4.5m x 2.7m x 1.2m deep , fitted with 2 anti-swim jets and a non slip ramp and resting platform . The variable jets can be altered to suit the individual need and condition of the dog being treated.

The ambient water temperature is kept between 27 and 30° Celsius and kept clean by an extensive filtration system . The chemical balance of the pool is constantly monitored so that optimum levels are maintained.

In addition to the entry/exit ramps, we have a fully automated hoist to assist less able dogs which is certified to 200kg.
